Immigrant street vendor arrested, robbed and abused by police

Statement from one of the immigrant street vendors that works in the area of the ASOEE:

"My name is M. Two weeks ago I was seized by officers during a raid outside the AUEB university. I was held for four hours at the police station where they took the things sell to earn a living from me, they also took the money I had on me. They ridiculed me as the stripped me and threatened me with their batons. There were also two people from Bangladesh that also had their money taken from them before they let them go. Every morning, from 8 until 12 there are police around the university that watch us and grab people."
